Featuring the Hetteen Cup Challenge
February 3 & 4, 2007
Yes, the Hetteen Cup is returning to Central Minnesota! Edgar and Ronn Hetteen have graciously allowed the Glenwood Vintage Snowmobile Rally to feature the Hetteen cup at the Glenwood race in 2007.The Rally Committee traveled to Grand Rapids , MN and met with the Hetteens. They are allowing us to use the Hetteen Cup to promote the sport of snowmobiling and snowmobile racing. The actual Hetteen Cup will be at the Glenwood Rally. The Committee is in the process of getting a replica trophy made, which will be given to the overall winner of the Glenwood race. The 2007 event will be February 3rd and 4th at the New Historic Lakeside Ballroom. This is a great facility to view a vintage snowmobile race! The race will feature the top vintage circuits in the area, PVR Vintage SNO PRO, SLEDS, Wolf Lake , and VOLS, but all vintage racers are welcome from other circuits. Saturday will be qualifying races and Sunday will be the finals.

THE TOP FIVE RACE RUMORS FOR 06-07
5. The Poirier Brothers race team is like the stock market in the 90's. They grew fast and split! Will we see two teams this year?
4. Dick Peterson will be back with his RXL's and a rumor of a team mate running a Ski-Doo.
3. Team Johnson's twin rotary will be turned into a grass dragger. Too cold in the winter I guess.
2. The Smith brothers from AK will be back with thier Arctic Cats from last year and may be adding a fleet of Arctic IFS sleds as well.
1. Bill Stull and the Pro Vintage group will be running the Vintagesleds.com SnoPro Masters series races this year.

The 05-06 Race season is here!!
VS
Team Johnson PoiBoys race team
Over the last couple of years there is a group of guys who built an,shall we say other than usual race sled. They call themselves "TEAM JOHNSON"
This team has built a twin rotary Johnson. The sled pulls up to the line with the sound of raw power, that will make the hair on the driver next to them stand on end. Over the last couple of years the sled has been tried and proven to be the sled everyone wants a piece of. The sled has gained the name "THE BIG JOHNSON".
We also have another race team "THE POIBOYS RACETEAM" over the last couple of years has put together, what one would call a fleet of race sleds! Racing several sleds in several classes and doing very well, I might add. Now the 2005-2006 race season is ready to begin. The Poirier Brothers have unveiled an open mod Ski-doo of there own. They were at Wolf lake on 12-11-2005 to test. The sled looks and sounds very impressive, sporting a large set of chrome pipes, that will catch anyone's eye.
Let's line them up, throw the geen flag and see who ends up on top "The Big Johnson" or the new challengers with the "Big Pipes".
