2011 Haydays

2011 Haydays

There were no delays in getting to Haydays this year. Traffic flowed in smoothly, the extra parking areas and gates helped to get people into the event much faster. The weather was beautiful and everyone seemed in great spirits. Sales were brisk in both the swap and dealer areas with lots of activities happening throughout the grounds. We would like to say a special thank you to all the clubs and volunteers who assist us in putting on this event.

Parking was huge and greatly improved this year with more parking lots added .Instead of a single lot there was four big lots that tripled the amount of available parking. These lots provide many more options for visitors depending on what part of the show they were interested in.

Once again, The Memory Lane tent shaded some very nicely restored and some very unique sleds. Visitors from all across the Nation and Canada visited the Memory Lane area throughout the weekend.

The swap was very large and it took a lot of ground pounding to find Vintage sled related parts. For those that put on the miles were rewarded with some very collectible sleds and parts again.

Erskine Marine Show

It was a dark and stormy night........but that didn't keep any of the campers from enjoying each other's company.  They were at Erskine Marine waiting in anticipation for the 8th annual Mid-Michigan Snowmobile Swap & Vintage Show to begin the next morning.  Even though the Hope, MI area had certainly seen more than its fair share of rain in the past few days (almost five inches!) and the forecast was calling for fifty percent chance of thunderstorms, the skies completely cleared Sunday August 7, seemingly for the sole purpose of allowing the swap & show to take place in the comfort of another beautiful summer day.

Artic Cat 50th

Text from the famous John Sandberg,

I truly can't think of a more perfect way to celebrate fifty years
of Arctic Cat passion than what I just experience during the past few days in
Thief River Falls.
Arctic Cat, TRF and Mother Nature threw down the welcome mat, and
people came from all over the U.S. and Canada, from Sweden and Norway. There
were individuals who came for the day, families who came for the week and
everything in-between.
